Our New Home
"God's New Home in Fawn"
A prayer of Dedication
December 2, 2007
Our Father in Heaven, this day we pray,
For the wonderful blessings you have sent our way.
March 3, 2005 was a sad day for all
As we watched in disbelief; our church walls fall.
How could this happen? What will we do?
We sadly turned to seek comfort from You.
And the comfort You sent us was Pastor Jane,
she hugged and consoled us to ease our pain.
For thirty-two months we planned and prayed;
"O Lord, please help us"; as the first blocks were laid.
We've watched in anticipation as our Church Did Rise,
And we longed for the day we could worship inside.
God, bless our new building and remember our vision;
To Love, Serve and Grow shall still be our mission.
We remember the old but embrace the new,
We're filled with emotion as we sit in our pew.
The Cornerstone is laid for Your new creation;
Firmly established to build on for each new generation.
Our roots here at Fawn are embedded in love,
We still will be guided from Heaven above.
Now we gather together to share our meal;
Our faces beam from the joy we feel.
In Fellowship and Faith, we join hands and pray,
That You continue to bless us, as You bless us today.
